Words from Erick regarding the book:
"There’s a lot to touring I think gets left out because of the allure behind it all. I am definitely fortunate to be able to change lives like we do everyday, but during the in between you really have to find solace in the silence. This is not to say to be able to tour isn’t a blessing, because it is… — but it is also a job. I feel like a lot of artists take it for granted and may treat it like it’s gonna be here forever. I live for moments like stepping out on stage performing your first song and the crowd goes nuts— I say a prayer, and I leave it all on the stage. I tap into the part of me that had to clean toilets and do a job I didn’t love. That version of me would never put on a lazy show, so why should that change now?"
"We used 2 vehicles throughout the course of the tour, and there were 4 times our car broke down from a flat or whatnot, but we still made it to the end. Through that, we all became so much closer and created a harmony we that kept us smiling everyday."
believing in yourself is like being the architect of your own destiny, where every choice you make is a stone, every action a beam, and every dream the blueprint that guides your hands.
